FRI 27 OCT – SLIDES DEADLINE – If you are you’re using slides, photos or video in your presentation, please let caity@viconferences.com.au know and include whether you will use ie PPT, Keynote, Google Slides etc. They need to be sent to Caity by Fri 27 October.

SPEAKER BRIEFING INFORMATION

DAY TWO – FRIDAY 17 NOVEMBER 2023 | 8:40 – 17:00
The MC will briefly introduce speakers, panellists or moderator as you walk on stage. At the end the MC will thank you and you will leave the stage. Please keep track of the time of the digital timer on the feedback monitor in front of you.
As the conference schedule is very tight, with short speaking sessions, there is no extra time for Q & A sessions after your allocated speaking time-slot.
You will be introduced to the moderator and other panellists before the conference for planning purposes. If you have not received this intro by October 14th – please contact caity@viconferences.com.au
The Panel Moderator will open the discussion with some brief introductory remarks followed by questions to the panellists. Individual panellists will not be presenting.
The Panel Moderator will have discretion about whether there is time or which questions to pose to the panel, if any.
NB: Panels cannot use slide presentations.
Prior to the conference you will be introduced to the moderator for planning purposes.
The moderator will guide the conversation on the day.
Engaging your audience is crucial and no matter what kind of presentation you are giving, you must find ways to create authentic audience connection, engagement, and value. Happiness & Its Causes sessions are like TED talks.

As the timing for the conference is very tight, it is imperative that all sessions run to time. We require you to be at the foyer of Cockle Bay Rooms, Level 4, Convention Centre, ICC Sydney no later than 45mins prior to your speaking time slot.
To allow sufficient time to check in, collect your name badge and get mic’d up before your presentation.
NB: If you have multiple speaking sessions, or are watching others sessions prior to your speaking slot, please follow the instructions on your SPEAKER RUN SHEET on the day.
Located in the heart of Darling Harbour, ICC Sydney is easily accessible by train, bus, light rail, coach and foot with only a 10-minute walk from Central and Town Hall train stations.
ICC Sydney has multiple public access point with step-free access to every entertainment, exhibition and conference venue.
- Train: Town Hall and Central Stations are a 10-minute walk from ICC Sydney
- Light rail: The Light Rail travels right through a number of Darling Harbour stations including ICC Sydney’s stops, Convention Centre and Exhibition Centre. The Light Rail starts at Central Station in the CBD and travels to Dulwich Hill in the inner west
- Bus: Bus routes 389 and 501 stop at Harris Street near Allen Street – a 10-minute walk from ICC Sydney
- Ferry: Cruise into Darling Harbour on a ferry with direct services from Circular Quay, King Street Wharf or Pyrmont Bay Wharf
- Taxi/Drop off: The best taxi drop off and pick up locations include the new Iron Wharf Place and Zollner Circuit, both accessed via Darling Drive
- Parking: ICC Sydney has 800+ secure car parking spaces available. Vehicle entry height is 2.2m. P1 is the closest to Exhibition Hall 5.
Additionally, visitors can make use of a number of secure car parks located in and around Darling Harbour, the closest located at Harbourside Car Park, 100 Murray Street, Pyrmont. Find more parking on Google Maps.
You will receive a SPEAKER RUN SHEET that includes where you need to be and at what time. To ensure the smooth running of the conference, please ensure you follow the directions on your RUN SHEET on the day.
If at anytime you encounter any issues or are unsure of where you need to be, please check back in at the speaker desk in the foyer for assistance.
SLIDES, IMAGES OR VIDEO
If you are using slides it is essential you advise us beforehand (via contact form below) if you plan to use slides and what format (PPT, Keynote, Google Slides etc) and you must upload your slides by Fri 27 October
NB: Panel discussions and Fireside Chats can not use slide presentations.
If using slides, please keep them concise and visual – generally speaking, less is more with slides.
On the day the AV team will play the slides on their device and you will be given a clicker to control and move the slides. Please avoid using a PDF version of your slides, it is not always compatible with the clicker.
You must send Caity your slides before the deadline: FRI 27 OCT 2023. This allows our AV team to program accurately and avoid tech problems on the day.
NB: If you make changes to you slides please make sure you have sent them through to Caity with V2 or V3 etc.

If you use special fonts or embedded video in your presentation, you will need to upload the fonts and video as separate files together with your slides.
NB: These will need to be saved onto the laptop at ICC for your presentation to work smoothly on the day.
Please send your slides to caity@viconferences.com.au by Fri 27 Oct 2023. You can continue to update and modify your slides on your own computer and re-send new versions, so we’ve always got the latest version.
